Oil wells construction
Casing pipes catalogue (PDF, 0,3 Mb)
Casing pipes are used to develop oil wells.
After the hole has been bored, casing is lowered into it by being screwed into each other. Its main task is to prevent the ground from sloughing from the well’s walls. The hollow places between the casing’s external wall and the well are filled with concrete. This material not only increases the durability of the construction but also protects the casing’s steel from corrosion.
The casing column forms a protective shell for the system pumping the oil from the well.
